If a formal company entity is added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated to include the company's registered legal name, registered address, and relevant registration details.

Personal data we collect

When you submit the beta application form or the early-access form, we collect:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your optional preference regarding a follow-up interview or call;
• your acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy;
• the date and time of your privacy acknowledgement;
• the version of the Privacy Policy shown to you;
• your analytics preference state;
• relevant UTM and campaign parameters from the URL;
• the landing page path;
• the date and time of your submission.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process limited technical information necessary to deliver, maintain, and protect the website. This may include IP addresses, request timestamps, browser or device information, and security logs.

When you open the landing page through a link that contains a campaign parameter (for example "utm_source"), our website backend also records a campaign click log entry, whether or not you accept optional analytics. The entry contains the date and time of the visit, the campaign source, campaign name and campaign identifier from the URL, the page path, the country and device type (such as desktop or mobile) derived by Cloudflare, your browser's user-agent string, the referring page, and the Cloudflare request identifier (Ray ID). We do not store your IP address in this log and the log is not linked to your name or email address.

When you open a page on zworyk.in, a small script of our own (not a third-party tool) also sends a few anonymous events to our website backend, whether or not you accept optional analytics: that the page was viewed, that you scrolled about halfway or nearly to the end, that the form came into view, that you started filling it in, that you clicked a sign-up or example button, and that a form was successfully submitted. Each page load gets a random identifier that exists only in the page's memory; it is not stored in a cookie or in local storage, it is not linked to your name or email address or to your form submission, and we cannot use it to recognise you on a later visit. Each entry contains the date and time, the website hostname and page path, the campaign source, medium, name and content from the URL, whether the link carried an advertising click identifier (yes or no; the identifier itself is not stored), the domain of the referring site, and the country and device type derived by Cloudflare. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string in this log, and we do not send these events to anyone else. The script does nothing if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, such as health information, biometric data, religious beliefs, or political opinions. Please do not provide this type of information through the beta form.

How we collect personal data

We collect personal data:

• directly from you when you complete and submit the beta application form;
• from the URL through which you access the landing page, including UTM parameters and the landing path;
• from your privacy and analytics choices on the website;
• from anonymous page events sent by our own script as described above;
• through our hosting and security infrastructure where technical processing is necessary to operate and protect the website.

Why we use personal data

We use beta application data to:

• receive and review your beta application or early-access request;
• respond to your request;
• select and contact potential beta participants;
• administer the closed beta;
• understand the types of production workflows that potential participants want to test;
• arrange an optional follow-up interview where you have indicated that you are interested;
• measure how many visitors arrive from each advertising campaign, how far they get through the page and form, and compare campaign performance;
• prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
• maintain the security and reliability of the website and beta workflow;
• maintain a record of the privacy information and choices presented at the time of submission.

We record the analytics preference associated with a beta submission to maintain an accurate record of the privacy choice made by the applicant.

Depending on the purpose of processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

Steps taken at your request

We process your name, email address, and application information to receive, review, and respond to your beta request and to take steps at your request before entering into a possible service or beta relationship.

Legitimate interests

We rely on legitimate interests to:

• operate and administer the closed beta;
• understand potential participant workflows;
• measure the reach and performance of our advertising campaigns through the campaign click log and the anonymous visit log described above;
• communicate with applicants about their requests;
• prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
• protect the website and associated systems;
• maintain appropriate operational, privacy, and consent records.

Consent

We rely on your consent for optional analytics and ad-conversion tracking: the LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Google Ads tag, the Reddit Pixel, the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API described in "Analytics and local storage" below. These only run after you select "Accept analytics". You can withdraw your consent at any time, as described below; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

Our legitimate interests are operating a secure beta programme, evaluating interest in the product, improving the beta workflow, evaluating the effectiveness of our advertising, and protecting our services and users. You may object to the campaign click log and the visit log at any time by contacting us; see "Your rights" below.

Required and optional information

Your email address is required so that we can review and respond to your beta application or early-access request.

If you do not provide the required information, we will not be able to process your application.

Your preference regarding a follow-up interview is optional. Declining an interview or optional analytics does not prevent you from submitting a beta application.

Analytics and local storage

If you select "Accept analytics" on zworyk.in, the website loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a third-party analytics and ad-conversion tracking service operated by LinkedIn, the Google Ads tag, a third-party analytics and ad-conversion tracking service operated by Google, and the Reddit Pixel, a third-party analytics and ad-conversion tracking service operated by Reddit. If you select "Reject analytics" or take no action, none of these tags are loaded and no analytics or conversion events are transmitted to LinkedIn, Google, or Reddit.

When active, the LinkedIn Insight Tag collects standard technical and browsing data (such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, and pages visited) and records when a beta application form is successfully submitted, for the purposes of measuring landing-page and ad-campaign performance. LinkedIn's use of this data is described in LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.

When active, the Google Ads tag collects standard technical and browsing data (such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, and pages visited) and records when a beta application form is successfully submitted, for the purposes of measuring landing-page and ad-campaign performance. Google's use of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

When active, the Reddit Pixel collects standard technical and browsing data (such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, and pages visited) and records when a beta application form is successfully submitted, for the purposes of measuring landing-page and ad-campaign performance. Reddit's use of this data is described in Reddit's Privacy Policy.

On the early-access page at zworyk.in/producers, if you select "Accept analytics", the website loads the Meta Pixel, a third-party analytics and ad-conversion tracking service operated by Meta. The LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Google Ads tag and the Reddit Pixel are not loaded on that page. When active, the Meta Pixel collects standard technical and browsing data (such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, pages visited, and Meta browser identifiers stored in first-party cookies such as "_fbp" and "_fbc") and records when the early-access form is successfully submitted.

If you accepted analytics and submit the early-access form, our website backend also sends a "Lead" event to Meta through the Meta Conversions API. This server-side event contains the event time, the page address, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the Meta browser and click identifiers mentioned above, so that Meta can match the event to an ad click and avoid counting it twice. We do not send your name or email address to Meta. If you reject analytics or take no action, neither the Meta Pixel nor the Conversions API event is used.

For the collection and transmission of this data to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers under Meta's Controller Addendum; Meta is responsible for its own subsequent processing. Meta's use of this data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Google Ads tag, the Reddit Pixel, and the Meta Pixel only load on the production domain (zworyk.in and www.zworyk.in). They do not load on internal, staging, or development environments.

Our own anonymous visit log described in "Personal data we collect" does not use cookies or local storage and does not depend on your analytics choice. The optional third-party tools below do.

Your privacy preference is stored in your browser's local storage so that the website can remember your choice and does not need to display the privacy banner on every visit. It remains in your browser until you clear the website's local data or the preference is replaced.

You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time using the "Privacy preferences" link in the footer of the landing pages.

You can also reset the preference stored in your browser by clearing the website's local storage or site data through your browser settings. Withdrawing consent stops future loading of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Google Ads tag, the Reddit Pixel, and the Meta Pixel, and stops Conversions API events, but does not retroactively affect data already sent to LinkedIn, Google, Reddit, or Meta.

Before activating any additional third-party analytics provider, we will:

• update this Privacy Policy;
• identify the analytics provider;
• explain what information is collected;
• explain the purposes and legal basis of the processing;
• explain the applicable retention period;
• provide a way to change or withdraw your analytics choice where required.

Where data is stored

Beta application and early-access data is submitted to our website backend and stored in Cloudflare D1 and Google Sheets for the purpose of reviewing and managing beta applications.

Campaign click log entries and anonymous visit log entries are stored in Cloudflare D1.

Access to beta application data is limited to people who need it to administer the beta and related communications.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

Service providers and recipients

We use third-party service providers to operate the website and manage beta applications. These currently include:

• Cloudflare entities providing website infrastructure, security, backend, and Cloudflare D1 database services;
• Google entities providing Google Sheets and associated storage services;
• LinkedIn Corporation, providing analytics and ad-conversion tracking through the LinkedIn Insight Tag, only if you accept optional analytics;
• Google entities, providing analytics and ad-conversion tracking through the Google Ads tag, only if you accept optional analytics;
• Reddit, Inc., providing analytics and ad-conversion tracking through the Reddit Pixel, only if you accept optional analytics;
• Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms, Inc., providing analytics and ad-conversion tracking through the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API on zworyk.in/producers, only if you accept optional analytics.

These providers may process personal data on our behalf or as otherwise described in their applicable service terms.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Cloudflare, Google, and (where you accept optional analytics) LinkedIn, Reddit, and Meta may process personal data in countries outside your country of residence or outside the European Economic Area.

This includes Google's processing of personal data through the Google Ads tag, Reddit's processing of personal data through the Reddit Pixel, and Meta's processing of personal data through the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, including transfers from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States, where you accept optional analytics.

Where GDPR restrictions on international transfers apply, we rely on the transfer safeguards made available under the relevant provider arrangements. These may include:

• an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission;
• the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses;
• the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable;
• supplementary technical and organisational safeguards where required.

You may contact us to request further information about the safeguards relevant to the processing of your personal data.

Retention

We retain beta application data for no longer than 24 months from the date of submission, unless:

• you enter into an active beta, contractual, or business relationship with us;
• we are required to retain information to comply with a legal obligation;
• limited retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
• security or abuse-prevention information must be retained for a separately applicable period.

At the end of the applicable retention period, we delete or anonymise the relevant personal data.

Campaign click log entries and anonymous visit log entries are retained for no longer than 12 months from the date of the visit and are then deleted.

Data received by LinkedIn, Google, Reddit, or Meta through optional analytics is retained by those providers under their own policies. The Meta "_fbp" cookie set by the Meta Pixel in your browser expires after 90 days unless renewed.

Records of privacy acknowledgements and analytics preferences may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate what information and choices were presented at the time of submission.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions and limitations of applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:

• request confirmation of whether we process your personal data;
• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• request deletion of your personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us using the email address provided in the "Controller and contact" section above.

We may request reasonable information to confirm your identity before responding to a request.

You are not required to contact us before submitting a complaint to a supervisory authority. However, you may contact us first so that we have an opportunity to address your concern.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, access, or destruction.

These measures include:

• encrypted transmission using HTTPS;
• access controls for Cloudflare and Google services;
• restricted access to beta application data;
• secure handling of credentials and secret keys;
• limiting access to people who need the information for beta operations.

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we make changes, we will publish the updated version and revise the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Where required, we will request new consent before beginning processing that is not covered by an existing valid consent.
